Are you the person who holds the office together at your church while being torn between your responsibilities to the programs, the clergy, and the finances? Don't let your bookkeeping duties be another source of worry. If you use or are considering using QuickBooks at your house of worship, The Accountant Beside You can make this one job hassle-free.
Many churches and other houses of worship rely on volunteers or an office person to cover their bookkeeping as well as other important administrative jobs. And because bookkeeping for churches can be quite different than for-profit businesses, many of the guides available don't cover what a busy church administrator needs to know in a clear, concise style.
However, Lisa London, The Accountant Beside You, walks you through QuickBooks for Churches from start to finish. With her friendly easy-to-understand style, and step-by-step instructions and screenshots, Lisa guides new QuickBooks users every step of the way, while her tips for how to make QuickBooks work better for churches provides new procedures for even the experienced bookkeeper. Not only does she step you through how to set up QuickBooks and utilize it more efficiently for your house of worship, but she also covers everything you need to know to implement controls and procedures to ensure that your church's money is always protected.
QuickBooks for Church offers sound accounting procedures for both large and small houses of worship, for bookkeepers with years of experience as well as those just starting out.
The book covers PC versions of QuickBooks and even lets readers know what is new in the 2014 version.
Let The Accountant Beside You take one more worry off your crowded to-do list.

I have been a church treasurer for more than 8 years and purchased this book to help "grow" our church QB system to automate reports and information required by our diocese and to track some nuanced restricted/unrestricted gifts. I found it helpful as a reference for best practices that go beyond Quickbooks accounting AND as a "how-to" manual with straightforward, step-by-step instructions to set up the chart of accounts, the item list and other specific QB tools. I'd recommend this as an office reference for churches of all sizes and accounting systems.

We are transitioning from Quicken to Quickbooks and Lisa's book has been outstanding. Her book has been extremely helpful in assisting me in making the transition from Quicken to Quickbooks. As well as understanding the differences for a church trying to utilize a commerce-focused product (Quickbooks) as a religious organization.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone!
