The Invisibles was one of those comics that inspired a generation of comic readers, being some of the best stories from the 90's, VERTIGO comics definitely was the HBO for comics during that era, and The Invisibles was the story that pushed all limits of reality. I already owned the original trade paperback volumes, but this volume being a larger size, better paper quality, hard cover and collecting more issues (1-12 plus a short story) is a great buy for lovers of comics like
Preacher Book One by Garth Ennis,
The Manhattan Projects, Vol. 1: Science Bad by Jonathan Hickman and even the
The Matrix [HD] (Which they used The Invisibles to write their script).
The Invisibles should be read by comic book enthusiasts and non comic book readers also.
Take a trip down the rabbit hole and experience the first 12 issues ( Plus More! ) of Grant Morrison's legendary "The Invisible's" comic. "Psychedelic", "philosophical", and "poetic" are just a few words I would use to describe this action-packed series. Readers who are looking for something more traditional might want to look elsewhere but anyone who's in for a little experimental comic reading may reach out and find something that's very special to them.
The book is larger than the standard, modern comic book size that it was originally released in allowing for a great look at the art. The binding seems acceptable to me as well, but perhaps someone else can chime in with specifics. I definitely recommend taking the dive and purchasing this book. See you on the other side.
