This is where the series really begins to shine. Many fanboards would agree that out of the first three episodes of this series, Haunted is by far the best. Each ep. drew the reader in for different reasons. One was drawn to Ep 1, Gaurdian, because one wanted to know what happened after the finale of Season 10. One was drawn to Ep 2, Detective, to see what Smallville's version of Batman would look like. And one was drawn to Ep 3, Haunted, perhaps, to find out the real mystery to which Flash Bart really is. Whereas in the first two episodes one may have felt not fully satisfied in the delivery, Episode three goes beyond and not only fills one's curriosity about the true identity of Bart, but it also pulls the pulls the reader into the story. That's why the first two episodes were hit and miss. Yes they both told you what has Clark as Superman been up to after season 10, as well as telling you, what does Smallville's Batman look like and how does he fit into the universe of the show, but some readers may not have been fully grabbed into the storylines themselves. Haunted on the otherhand, is the true gem of the series, and perhaps, by some, would still be considered the superior episode even to episodes 4, Argo, and 5, Olympus.
I will not spoil it for readers, but if you were a fan of the tv show then I highly recommend that you first view this story first as a mystery, and that mystery being this: who do you think Bart is from the comics? I highly encourage readers to wrestle and come up with a theory before they begin to read the story. Here are some possible answers:
Bart is in fact Barry Allen from the comics.
Reason: Clearly he is a founder of the Justice League along with Clark, Green Arrow, Cyborg, Aquaman, Black Canary, and Martian Manhunter.
