Pros: Has some example problems some more information on structural steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and geotech problems.
Cons: I got this SDRM 3 stars because I was expecting much more from something labelled as the structural depth reference manual. If you tried taking the PE exam with this as a reference manual, you'd be up a certain creek without a paddle because this is missing a great deal of basic information. This SDRM has about 10% of the information you need for the structural depth portion of the PE Exam. You would be better off buying the Structural Engineering Reference Manual SERM which is geared towards the SE exam. Almost everything in this SDRM is contained within the Civil Engineering Reference Manual CERM and the topics are expounded upon in greater detail in the SERM. This was a disappointment in comparison to the CERM and SERM and I would only buy this if the price was cut in half.

I would highly recommend this reference book to anyone taking the Civil-Structural PE Exam. The general CERM is not as in depth in Structural as this text.
