I'm 12 so to me this book is a Little young for me but I loved it. I liked how this book showed how terrible terrible civil war was. It was very easy for me to understand and it showed what a slave had to go through. Also it described the battle of Gettysburg the perfectly . I've read any books on Gettysburg I've been there and she really gives a Good prospective of what happened. Finally, she listed the facts at the end which helps other people learn about the civil war.
